A new kind of waste treatment system has been developed by Viridis Waste Control LLC, that holds the potential to improve water quality, reduce landfill usage, and to provide a large supply of renewable fuel. Both sewage and the organic matter in garbage decompose and produce methane on their own.

Rooftop Solar PV/T System Gets 50% Operating Efficiency!
This innovative rooftop PV system has solar modules mounted on metal collector panels that channel excess heat from the modules into the building's HVAC system. The entire rooftop system, which is part photovoltaic and part thermal, generates electricity and pushes heat into the building's HVAC system, reaching total operating efficiencies of 50%.

Blame it on poor usability or just not reading the frickin' manual, but it turns out that 95 percent of all returned gadgets actually work despite what customers may say or think. That's right -- of the $13.8 billion worth of returned products in 2007, only 5 percent were because gadgets were truly broken.

Community Garden Planting Days
The planting days were a great success. Please enjoy the pictures and feel free to visit the gardens at your convienence. Feel free to weed, water, or just observe the community gardens as they grow. We are still looking for donations of marigolds, or any other natural means of pest control.
